We work directly inside Google Business Profile Manager for all profile editing, posting, and review work. The platform has changed significantly over the past two years and we keep current with the rolling feature releases (services structured data, message integration, social posting changes, AI Overviews integration in search). For multi-location businesses we use Google's bulk management interface, and for businesses on agency tools we use what you already have or recommend BrightLocal, Whitespark, or Local Falcon depending on your scale and reporting needs.
Local rank tracking is critical for understanding what is actually moving. We use Local Falcon and BrightLocal for geo-grid rank tracking, which shows your Business Profile rank from specific points across Chicago. A profile that ranks first when searched from a five-block radius of your office might rank tenth from across the river. Geo-grid tracking is the only way to see that clearly.
Our standards work follows Google's published Business Profile guidelines, including the rules on accurate hours and address data, prohibited content in business descriptions, and the rules around review solicitation. We do not solicit reviews in ways that violate Google policy (no buying, no gating, no scripted responses). The work follows the letter of Google's guidelines and the spirit of building a profile customers actually trust.
For reporting we use a custom monthly template that pulls data from Google Business Profile Insights, Local Falcon, and where applicable Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4. Reports go out the first week of every month with written commentary, not just dashboards. Every report covers what moved, why, and what comes next.
